At the 2nd Shanghai International Carbon Neutrality Technology, Products, and Achievements Expo on June 7, 2024, the international third-party testing and certification agency TÜV SÜD awarded NGC Group certificates for organizational carbon verification and product carbon footprint declaration. These certificates confirmed that the total greenhouse gas emissions of its wholly-owned subsidiary, NGC (Huaian) High-Speed Gear Manufacturing Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "NGC Huaian"), and the production of wind power main gearboxes (8.5 MW) meet the verification standards of ISO 14064-1:2018 and ISO 14067:2018, respectively. This recognition indicates that NGC Group is continuously striving to develop and enhance its quality of productive forces in green manufacturing and low-carbon transformation. In addition, it enhances the industry’s green competitiveness in the international market.

NGC Group has been awarded the first ISO 14064-1:2018 organizational greenhouse gas emissions verification certification by TÜV SÜD, recognized by the China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment (CNAS). This certification notably includes the verification of "Scope 3 greenhouse gas emissions," which encompass emissions occurring throughout the value chain. By encompassing these emissions in the verification scope, NGC Group actively promotes carbon management projects in collaboration with upstream and downstream partners. This shows NGC Group's commitment to its energy and carbon management policy of "delivering green power through green manufacturing," emphasizing its determination to implement sustainable development strategies in Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG).
NGC Huaian's 8.5 MW wind power main gearbox has completely independent intellectual property rights, with the domestication degree of both the entire machine and its components exceeding 90%. The product has undergone a comprehensive carbon footprint audit by TÜV SÜD, covering the entire system boundaries from "cradle to gate," which includes the acquisition and transportation of raw and auxiliary materials, product production, and the disposal of waste generated during the production process. It has been confirmed to meet the verification standard of ISO 14067:2018. This underscores that, besides addressing challenges such as high megawatt capacity, lightweight construction, and high reliability, NGC's wind power main gearbox continues to enhance its competitive edge in green and low-carbon technologies.
Mr. Xu E, the Vice President and Senior Director of Investment Strategy at NGC Group, shared, as an invited guest, NGC Group's strategies and achievements in energy carbon emissions management and ESG data governance at the Shenergy Group Roundtable Forum of the 2nd International Carbon Expo.
Passing the ISO 14064-1:2018 organizational carbon audit and achieving ISO 14067:2018 product carbon footprint verification mark a new beginning in NGC Group's journey towards green development. We will continue to uphold the corporate spirit of "continuously striving for excellence" and remain committed to our corporate mission of "propelling the progress of human civilization." Together with all stakeholders, we are committed to actively addressing climate change and collaboratively shaping a green future and sustainable development.
