NGC’s “High-power Wind Energy Gearbox Standardization Pilot” project listed as a Provincial Level Project

In recent weeks, the Jiangsu Administration for Market Regulation and the Jiangsu Provincial Development and Reform Commission announced its list of strategic emerging industry and service industry standardization pilot projects for Jiangsu in 2022. One of the selected projects was the “high-power wind energy gearbox standardization pilot” project.

A standardization pilot project refers to standardization activities that use the principles and methods of standardization in specific fields, in order to realize the innovation of regional or organizational management models and enhance social or economic benefits by establishing a scientific and applicable standards system. A standardization pilot is an important means for formulating and implementing such standards. Through the exploration of typical operating experience, it promotes the improvement of standardized systems and the promotion and understanding of relevant standards in various fields, enabling appropriate adjustments to industrial layout, transformation of production models, and improvements in innovation capabilities and management efficiency.

This includes development and research, technical innovations, and production process improvements, which have led to some impressive achievements, including 332 national patents, of which 16 are invention patents. The company has undertaken several major projects related to national science and technology support plans. The company has led or participated in the revision and formulation of a total of 12 national and industrial standards. On the basis of the industrial experience it has accumulated, NGC has integrated the different concepts of standardization, modularization and reliable technology, while remaining committed to the development of standardized, modular platform products for wind energy gearboxes. Following the development trends in large-scale and lightweight wind turbine generator systems, a new generation of serialized high-power wind energy gearbox platform products have been developed, marked by their high bearing capacities, high torque density and high reliability.
