Focusing on AI Empowerment: NGC Smart Products Boost the Development of Green Mines

On April 10th, the 11th National Conference on Practical Technologies and Equipment for Non-ferrous Metal Mining, Dressing and Smelting was held in Kunming, Yunnan Province. With a theme of "AI Empowering Green Mines and Boosting New Quality Productive Forces in the Mining Industry," the conference attracted a number of leading representatives from mining enterprises, research institutes, and equipment manufacturers across the country. NGC Group (NGC) participated in the exhibition by showcasing its intelligent transmission solutions, highlighting the innovative applications of AI technology in the field of mining equipment operation and maintenance.

In line with the conference theme, NGC focused on its Gear-Sight intelligent monitoring platform. This collects real-time operational data such as temperature, vibration and torque through sensors deployed on the gearboxes. By leveraging intelligent algorithms for condition analysis and early fault warning, it can proactively identify potential failure risks and estimate the remaining useful life of the gearboxes. This enables mining enterprises to transition from "planned maintenance" to "predictive maintenance," effectively reducing unplanned downtime as well as operation and maintenance costs. NGC's intelligent products attracted the attention of equipment management figures from different mining enterprises. The Gear-Sight platform has now been deployed and applied in several mining projects, gathering operational data in different operating conditions and continuously optimizing its algorithms.

During the conference, NGC also showcased a number of solutions covering the complete mining process, including the MHB series of standard industrial gearboxes, MPG high-pressure roll mill gearboxes, MPT tower mill gearboxes, and MHS series agitation-specific gearboxes. These products offer a whole wealth of advantages, including high load-bearing capacity, low energy consumption and outstanding stability, and have been implemented on a large scale in major mining projects across the country.

In addition, NGC's MGDS series of permanent magnet gear drive systems also garnered widespread attention from conference attendees. Combining permanent magnet motors, gear transmission and variable frequency control into a single unit, this system outperforms traditional solutions in terms of drive efficiency, starting current, and maintenance workload.

During the conference, NGC reached cooperation intentions with several research institutions and mining enterprises to jointly explore the in-depth application of AI technology in mining drive equipment. Company representatives stated that NGC will continue to promote the integration of drives with cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence and big data, providing green, intelligent solutions to support the high-quality development of the mining industry.
