NGC Rail Transport Division has recently announced some excellent news; they have received an order for 1,040 gear box sets for use in High Capacity Metro Trains (HCMT) in Melbourne, Australia. The product in question is the PDM385 two-stage metro gear box, which is characterized by its compacted structure, low noise, and easy maintenance etc. Before this, the company also received an order for NWRL Sydney, Australian.
Melbourne is the capital city of the state of Victoria and the second-largest city in the Commonwealth of Australia, the cultural and industrial center of Australia, and even the most famous cultural city in the southern hemisphere. PDM385 gear boxes to be adopted for HCMT are already used extensively in Hong Kong South Island’s HCMT, and Lines 3, 4, 5, 11, and 17 in Shanghai.
The PDM385 gear box is the product of years researching domestic and international standards and customer specifications by NGC, combined with many years of experience in design and manufacture. With a 10-year, or 1.2 million km maintenance-free life span, the key components can actually endure for a period of 35 years.
