An order of 1,000 sets of 1.67 MW gearboxes was signed recently between NGC and a well-known Chinese company. This is a new order which was signed with the same company since the last order of 1,200 gearboxes last year. This type of gearboxes is designed according to the latest GL Certification Criterion for wind power generator. The strength, accuracy, material and heat treatment control of the gears are all carried out in the light of ISO6336 or DIN3990 standards. 2-stage planetary + 1-stage parallel transmission arrangement makes it compact, endurable, smooth running and easy mounting/dismounting, and it is approved to arrive the international level due to the mature technology and excellent comprehensive performance. This type of gearbox was given national patent in October 2008 and accredited as high-tech product recently by Jiangsu Science and Technology Department.
